After three years of training, he obtained his license in 1997. From 1997 to 2004, he controlled air traffic over Belgium from Eurocontrol&#8217;s control center in Maastricht, the Netherlands.<br>For over a decade, Max held various roles at Eurocontrol, including training and management, while simultaneously furthering his own education with a degree in training and personnel development and a master&#8217;s in program and project management. In 2010, he moved to Madrid to lead ATC training at Senasa, later becoming the CEO of Ingenav in 2014, a company he co-owns.<br>His experience spans a broad spectrum of aviation and strategic leadership, characterized by his dedication to excellence and continuous professional growth. Under his leadership, Ingenav excels in consulting and training for air navigation services, with a strong focus on innovation, human factors and the integration of emerging technologies.<br><br>Early in his career, Max became intrigued with what made us, human beings, unique within any safety chain in general and in aviation in particular. He got involved in Human Factors training and in the early 2000s he attended his first Team Resources Management event. In 2006, he trained to become a Facilitator. In 2011, he started facilitating TRM sessions and since 2017 he started training future TRM facilitators at Eurocontrol\u00b4s Aviation Learning Centre as an external instructor. He has been active in TRM ever since, facilitating TRM sessions, teaching others about TRM and facilitation and through Eurocontrol\u00b4s TRM User Group working towards improvements in the programme and advocating about TRM.<br><br><strong>Matita Tshabalala<\/strong><br>Matita Tshabalala is a highly accomplished aviation professional with over 22 years of experience, specializing in human performance, safety, organizational psychology, and human factors. His distinguished career has seen him excel in various critical departments within the aviation industry, including human resources, safety, strategy, and operations. With a passion for optimizing human potential and enhancing organizational effectiveness, Matita has established himself as a leading expert.<br>As a registered Organizational Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), Matita brings a deep understanding of human behaviour and workplace dynamics to his work. He is also an accredited Aviation Psychologist and Human Factors Specialist, affiliated with the prestigious European Association of Aviation Psychology (EAAP). His expertise lies at the intersection of cognitive and humanistic psychology, organizational behaviour, talent management, culture change, and change management.<br>Matita\u2019s professional journey has been marked by a commitment to improving human performance in high-risk environments. He has a particular interest in non-technical skills training, which he has delivered to airlines, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), and other organizations operating in safety-critical domains. His work focuses on fostering resilience, enhancing decision-making, and mitigating human error through evidence-based practices.<br><br>In addition to his corporate roles, Matita founded HumanErgoCoach, an organization dedicated to advancing human performance, ergonomics, and coaching. Through HumanErgoCoach, he provides tailored solutions to organizations seeking to optimize their workforce, improve safety outcomes, and drive sustainable change. His approach combines psychological insights with practical strategies, ensuring individuals and teams thrive in demanding environments.<br>Matita\u2019s academic background and professional affiliations reflect his dedication to continuous learning and innovation.
