Working Philosophy

The success of every Air Traffic Control system depends on the people, and ATC in Ghana is no exception. Our success depends on ingenuity and team work. Working with us means working with people who have a passion for achievement and a continuous thirst for outstanding results.

Diversity

Members of GHATCA come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Through teamwork, we support each other in realizing our full potentials. We also have programmes that allow other controllers from the sub-region to come to Ghana and experience Air Traffic Control from our point of view.

Integrity and Commitment

We conduct our operations with integrity and respect for people, organizations, airlines, and the environment and always maintain a high level of commitment in improving the way we work to achieve our long-term goals. ATC is not only our job; it’s our passion; it's our obligation!

Maintaining “THE STANDARD”

Air traffic controllers in Ghana work with ICAO standards and recommended practices augmented with extremely high professional and ethical standards. Though Air Traffic control in Ghana is a dynamic and challenging task, air traffic controllers apply ingenuity, unparalleled professionalism, complex problem solving and decision making in carrying out Air Traffic control duties, all in the aim of maintaining “THE STANDARD!”
