How to become a Controller

Posted in
If you are considering a career as an air traffic controller, take your time and answer these questions;
  • Can you make decisions quickly?
  • Can you visualize three dimensional objects that are moving?
  • Do you remember past events with great accuracy and for longer periods of time when you hear them?
  • Can you sit for long hours (especially during the night) to accomplish tasks?
  • Can you easily read maps?
  • Are you slow to anger?
  • Can you focus on more than one task at a time?
  • Can you work in stressful situations and not make mistakes?
  • Do you have a good short term memory?
  • Do you enjoy work that is challenging?
  • Would you describe yourself as a responsible person?

Well if you answered YES to all the above questions, then you are a good candidate for Air Traffic Control
